PS5 versions of Resident Evil 7 and the recent remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3 have appeared on the PlayStation Network, suggesting they may be released soon.

Capcomannounced in March that the games would becoming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S this year, although a release date wasn’t confirmed.

As spotted byPlayStationpatch tracker@PlayStationSize, all three titles have now appeared on the PSN as PS5 games, leading to speculation that they could be released to coincide with this week’sSummer Game Fest showcaseorCapcom’s own digital event next week.

Capcom previously said the new-gen upgrades will be free for existing owners of the games.

“Upgrade patches for all three games will also be released forPCplayers at no additional cost when thePlayStation 5andXboxSeries X|S versions launch!”

Capcom said the new-gen console versions of the games will include “visual enhancements” but did not reveal if there will be new features beyond this.

Both Resident Evil 7 and theResident Evil 2remake were met with extremely positive reviews, with both games being cited as a return to form for the franchise.

However,Resident Evil 3‘s remake wasn’t as popular with critics. This was due in some part to the remake’s changes to the original game.

Capcom recently confirmed that aResident Evil 4 remake is in developmentand is scheduled to release on July 08, 2025 for PS5,Xbox Series X/Sand PC.

According to Capcom, Resident Evil 4 remake will preserve the essence of the original game, while “introducing modernized gameplay, a reimagined storyline, and vividly detailed graphics”.

Itsaidtoday that it’s planning to provide “a fresh new look” at the game in its Capcom Showcase livestream on June 13.
