Remedy has released the patch notes for Alan Wake 2’s first updates.
Following its release last Friday, the sequel receivedPCandPS5updates over the weekend.

These included fixes for unspecified bugs and localisation issues, while the PC patch also introduced a “significantly friendlier error message when third-party software stops the game from starting”.
The latestXboxupdate went live on Monday,Remedysaid. Aside from bug fixes, it addressed “multiple visual issues” and “multiple UI-related issues”. It also “fixed an issue where players could get stuck in interacts and not exit.”

“Thank you for the incredible response toAlan Wake 2,” the studio said. “We are looking at all of your feedback. We will be addressing a few technical issues we have noticed over the weekend as soon as we can and continue to update the game.
“We are aware of the audio cutting off on Xbox and are looking into it,” it added.

Remedy confirmed last week that the game willreceive a New Game Plus mode in a post-launch update, with “exact release timing still TBD,” and detailed plans for two paidAlan Wake 2 expansions, the first of which is scheduled to be released in spring 2024.
