Ubisoft has confirmed plans to release Rainbow Six Siege for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on July 21, 2025.
ThePS5andXbox Series Xversions will allow gameplay in 4K and up to 120fps, depending on the mode selected by players (performance or resolution), while theXboxSeries S version will offer 1080p gameplay.

Current-gen console players will receive the next-gen versions as a free update,Ubisoftsaid, and players will keep their progression and in-game content. The game will be cross-generation, meaning next-gen players will be able to play with current-gen players on the same family of devices.
The next-gen versions of the game also promise improved accessibility (readability options, text to speech and speech to text), and a streamlined login and intro sequence to get players into the action faster.

Rainbow Six Siegehas amassed over 65 million registered players since releasing in December 2015, according to Ubisoft.
“We’re in this for the long run and we have plans for years to come,”creative director Leroy Athanassoff said in September.

Athanassoff previously said the development team at Ubisoft Montréalwants the title to go free-to-play one day.
