Ubisoft has detailed its launch plans for Rainbow Six Siege cross-play and cross-progression.
Both features will be enabled forPC,AmazonLuna and a newStadiaversion of the game on June 30.
Cross-play will be available betweenXboxandPlayStationconsoles in early 2022, when cross-progression will be enabled across all platforms.
“For these updates, we needed a bit more time in order to prepare and make sure they have a smooth launch,” said Guillaume Gad, associate producer atUbisoft Montreal.
“We know cross-play is a feature a lot of you have been anticipating and we are thrilled to see the enthusiasm its announcement has inspired.”
Ubisoft Montreal IT director Paul Vlasie also said: “Bringing these player bases together benefits everyone. It will finally allow you to play with your friends across different platforms.

The second season ofRainbow Six SiegeYear 6, North Star, launches on June 14, introducing the new operator Thunderbird and the reworked map Favela, amongst other updates.
Earlier on Saturday,Ubisoftpremiered the first officialRainbow Six Extraction gameplayand announced a mid-September release date for the title.
