Quake 2 Remastered has been rated, suggesting Bethesda is planning to release an enhanced version of Id Software’s classic FPS.
As spotted byGematsu, the unannounced title has beenclassifiedby South Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee.
The same body classified the remastered version of the original Quake ahead of its official announcement andrelease during QuakeCon 2021.
After three years of digital-only shows, QuakeCon is returning as an in-person event this year. It will run from August 10-13 at Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas.
Bethesdareleased the remastered version of the original Quake for modern platforms to coincide with the game’s 25th anniversary.
The shooter was updated with up to 4K resolution and widescreen support on compatible platforms, enhanced models, dynamic lighting, anti-aliasing, depth of field and more.
It was released forPC,Xbox One(including Game Pass),PS4andNintendo Switch, with backward compatibility onXbox Series X/SandPS5.
In December 2021, the gamereceived a free update adding a Horde modefor the first time in its history.
Developed by Wolfenstein studioMachineGames, Horde mode is for 1-4 players and can be played solo, with AI bots, or with friends.
