Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is to receive story DLC and free add-ons, Ubisoft has announced.
The publisher has revealed the game’s roadmap, which includes free content coming later this month.
Warrior’s Path, the first free piece of content will include a speedrun mode, a permadeath mode, and new outfits for the game’s protagonist Sargon.
In spring 2024, a boss rush mode will added, alongside some more new costumes.
In summer 2024, the Divine Trials update will add “new combat, platform, and puzzle challenges,” as well as new amulets, outfits, and more.
Finally,Ubisofthas announced that “later in 2024,” new story DLC will be added to the game, although it did not detail its contents.

VGC’sPrince of Persia: The Lost Crown reviewcalled it this year’s “first hidden treasure” and said it “delivers the reboot the franchise desperately needed”.
“Excellent platforming, clever puzzles and a huge map make it one of the best Metroidvania games in years”, it said.

Ubisoft Montrealsaid in November that itsrebooted Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remakehad “passed an important internal milestone and development is progressing”.
Originally in the works at Indian studios Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai and planned for release in January 2021, the game was delayed several times before Ubisoft Montreal, which developed the original Sands of Time, took over the project.
