Pokémon Masters reportedly grossed $26 million in first week of availability.
That marks thePokémonfranchise’s second-best launch for a mobile game, behind onlyPokémon Go, according to data fromSensor Tower.

While Pokémon Masters trailed Pokémon Go’s launch week revenue of $56 million, it comfortably beat the opening week totals generated by Pokémon Quest ($3 million), Pokémon: Magikarp Jump ($1 million) and Pokémon Rumble Rush ($300,000).
Pokémon Masters was the No.10 grossing mobile app during the week beginning August 26, and the No.9 grossing mobile game.

The title is developed byDeNA, the studio behind multipleNintendomobile games, including Super Mario Run,Animal Crossing: Pocket Campand Fire Emblem Heroes. It’s also working onMario Kart Tour,which is set for release on September 25.
Pokémon Go, which has been downloaded over one billion times since it launched in July 2016, recorded its highest earning month ($110 million) in three years during August, according toSensor Tower.
