Capcom and Niantic have dated Monster Hunter Now, the new location-based mobile game from the studio behind Pokémon Go.

Developed and distributed byNiantic, the title will be released foriOSandAndroiddevices globally on September 14.

Monster Hunter Now wasannounced in March, when IP ownerCapcombilled it as “an approachable hunting experience that can be enjoyed as part of everyday life”.

The game sees “players take on the role of hunters and embark on an adventure during which they hunt vividly lifelike monsters that appear in the real world”.

A Monster Hunter Now showcase aired on Thursday and is viewable below. It featured a gameplay reveal alongside details of the monsters and weapons that will appear in the title.

13 monsters will be included in the game at launch: Great Jagras, Kulu-Ya-Ku, Pukei-Pukei, Barroth, Great Girros, Tobi-Kadachi, Jyuratodus, Paolumu, Anjanath, Rathian, Legiana, Rathalos, and Diablos.

The weapons available will include Sword & Shield, Great Sword, Long Sword, Hammer, Light Bowgun, and Bow.

Niantic alsoconfirmedseveral rewards that will be available to players at launch based on the number of users who pre-register for the game.
