The Pokémon Company has revealed that the English name of its upcoming Pokémon Trading Card Game set is Paldean Fates.
The set, which will see an initial launch in January 2024, will feature special shiny versions of over 100Pokémon, as well as a line of new Pokémon TCG products.
At the launch of the set, Paldean Fates will receive its own Elite Trainer Box, which will feature a special promo card of the Pokémon Mimikyu.
“The spotlight glistens on Shiny Pokémon making their fated return to the Pokémon TCG,” the set’s official description reads.
“Shiny Pikachu blazes the path forward as Tinkaton, Ceruledge, Dondozo, and more than 100 other Shiny Pokémon follow. Meanwhile, Great Tusk and Iron Treads appear as Ancient and Future Pokémon ex, and Charizard, Forretress, and Espathra show off their own unique skills as Shiny Tera Pokémon ex.
“Shed some light and discover sparkling wonders in the Scarlet & Violet Paldean Fates expansion.”
The set will feature more than 240 cards, more than 130 shiny Pokémon – which so far have been confirmed to include Charizard, Pikachu, Tinkaton, Dondozo – and more.
“Select Shiny Pokémon will be showcased in fun full-art styles, revealing a new side to fan-favorite Pokémon in their Shiny forms,”The Pokémon Companysays.
“Furthermore, select Pokémon ex will appear on hyper rare cards, featuring a new and unique raised foil effect.”
