Codemasters has confirmed that the F1 2020 game will release on July 10 for PS4, Xbox One, Stadia and PC via Steam. The most significant introduction to this year’s game is My Team, a new game mode which allows players to create their own F1 team, with a unique driver-manager experience existing alongside the established Career mode. Players can choose from the original full 22 race season, and shorter 10 and 16 race season options, which now include Hanoi Circuit and Circuit Zandvoort....

Bethesda has delayed Fallout 4’s PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC update to 2024. “Thank you for your patience with us as we work on the Fallout 4 next-gen update,” it said. “We know you’re excited, and so are we! But we need a bit more time and look forward to an exciting return to the Commonwealth in 2024.” Bethesdasaid last year thatFallout 4 would be getting a free current-gen upgrade in 2023....

Hironobu Sakaguchi has shown interest in bringing his mobile RPG Fantasian to PC. IGN Japanreports that Sakaguchi was in attendance at the Magic 2023 festival in Monaco, where he took part in a Q&A session looking back at his career. When asked about Fantasian – which was released in April 2021 and is still currently exclusive toApple Arcade– and whether it would be available on other platforms, Sakaguchi reportedly showed interest in at least porting it toPC....

A former top Assassin’s Creed developer who was fired by Ubisoft is now working on a new game at Tencent. Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla and Origins creative director Ashraf Ismail had his employmentterminated by the French publisher in August 2020, following accusations of abuse of power and extramarital affairs. Chinese gaming giantTencenthas confirmed toAxiosthat Ismail is now serving as “a consulting creative director” with it Timi Studio Group. While the company didn’t confirm exactly what Ismail is working on where, one source told the publication he’d been involved with a Tencent studio in Montreal since it was opened in July 2021....

Our First Play series has returned, and today we’re looking at Detective: The Test. This is the fourth game in the Detective series by Barcelona-based k148 Game Studio, and has players trying to sold three cases by exploring the crime scenes. Just as a content warning, the first case in this game deals with some surprisingly dark content involving child abuse, which it didn’t warn about in advance, so do bear that in mind before deciding whether to watch....

In the latest of our First Play series, we take a look at Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree. Developed by Hungary-based Primal Game Studio, Mandragora is a 2.5D action RPG with “deep Metroidvania and Soulslike elements” and a 40+ hour length. The standard YouTube version is 33 minutes long and sees us creating our character, playing through the intro and taking on a giant wolf enemy. Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree is released on April 17 onPC,PS5andXbox Series X/S....

Epic Games has announced that its latest Fortnite crossover is with legendary hip-hop group, the Wu-Tang Clan. Starting on Saturday April 23 at 8pm ET (Sunday April 24 at 1am GMT), a number of items related to the group’s Wu Wear fashion line will be available in the item shop. While this will naturally include outfits, it also includes back blings, pickaxes and other items. Real-life versions of the outfits available in the game will also be sold by Wu Wear....

Rockstar has released 70 new Grand Theft Auto 6 screenshots, showing off the game’s world, characters, and more. The screenshots include new locations in Vice City, the game’s dual protagonists and some of the side characters that will appear inGrand Theft Auto 6. On Tuesday, Rockstar released thesecond trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6. After months of speculation, Rockstar confirmed onFriday that the game would now launch in May 2026....

Game preservationists have been giving their opinions on Nintendo Switch 2’s new Game-Key Cards. Game-Key Cards areNintendo’s new branding for cartridges that still require the game to be downloaded from theSwitch 2online store before the game can be played. The cartridge doesn’t contain the game data, rather it’s simply a ‘key’ that enables a download. “Game-key cards are different from regular game cards, because they don’t contain the full game data,” Nintendo’s own description says....

Sony has announced several of the games that will be supported by PlayStation 5 Pro. PS5 Prowill launch on June 04, 2025, with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $699.99 / £699.99 / €799.99 / ¥119,980,Sonyannounced on Tuesday. The company has published a list of the games that are confirmed to support thePlayStation 5Pro. This list is incomplete, as Sonyclaimsthat “around 50” games will be enhanced on the system when it launches in November....

The first Switch vs Switch 2 screenshots for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet have been published, after fans compared areas shown in this week’s official media drop. On Friday,Nintendoconfirmedthe list of games getting free Switch 2 updateswhen the console releases on June 5. Much to the delight of fans, the list includesPokémon Scarlet & Violet, a game thatreceived much criticism for its visuals and performancewhen it released in 2022. Warner Bros Games has released a story trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. The new trailer, which premiered during the DC Fandome event, and appears to show in-engine cutscene footage and shows the Squad preparing to team up to take on DC’s iconic superhero team, who appear to be infected with some sort of virus that turns them evil. Developed by Batman: Arkham series creatorRocksteady Studios, the game is billed as a “genre-bending action-adventure shooter” set in an open-world Metropolis....
