The developer behind Nintendo and Square Enix’s Super Mario RPG remake for Nintendo Switch has been revealed, as spoilers from early copies of the game began circulating on social media. As spotted by social media users, a copyright notice attached to eShop pre-orders reveals that Japanese studio ArtePiazza developed the new Mario RPG. ArtePiazza is known for its involvement in Square’s Dragon Quest series, as far back as Dragon Quest 3 in 1996....

NetEase has revealed new details about Marvel Rivals Season 1, along with the first trailer for the update. Season 1: Eternal Night Falls will launch on January 10 at 1am PT / 4am ET / 9am GMT. The vampire-themed season will introducenew characters in the form of the Fantastic Four, who’ll be battling against the forces of Dracula. An official synopsis reads: “Darkness engulfs New York as the Timestream Entanglement leaves Doctor Strange trapped in the Entangled Astral Plane, scattering the Darkhold pages....

Sony has announced a roster of new games coming to the PS Plus Classics catalogue for PS5. Later this month, classic adventure games Myst and Riven will be added to the Plus service, as part ofPlayStation’s Days of Play promotion. This will be followed in June by classic immersive sim Deus Ex, and Twisted Metal 3 and 4, which arrive in time for the second live action series. Finally,Capcomwill be bringingResident Evil 2and 3 to PS Plus sometime this summer....

MultiVersus Season 2 begins later today, with a new Battle Pass. According to the game’s official patch notes, the new Battle Pass will no longer contain tiers that don’t have rewards. “We also tuned the number of points required to complete each tier so that the Battle Pass feels both engaging and rewarding,” the notes say. An in-game store will also be added to the game with Season 2, making it easier for players to see and purchase characters and cosmetics in one place....

The Netflix executive who was tasked with creating the company’s gaming division has reportedly left the company. FormerElectronic ArtsandFacebookexecutive Mike Verdujoined Netflix in August 2021, and was tasked with leading the streaming service’s expansion into the video games market. Verdu stepped down from his role last year, and took on the new role of ‘VP, GenAI for Games’, which he described as “driving a ‘once in a generation’ inflection point for game development and player experiences using generative AI”....

Obsidian has revealed fresh Avowed gameplay footage and details in a new 27-minute video. Game directorCarrie Patelappeared on the latest episode of theOfficial Xbox Podcast, which is viewable above, to offer a deep dive into the upcoming game. Avowedwasannounced in July 2020as a first-person fantasy action RPG set in the world of Eora, which was originally introduced in Obsidian’s Pillars of Eternity series. However, among other details revealed in today’s podcast, Patel confirmed that the game has a third-person camera mode....

In today’s SNES NSO update, LuigiBlood found evidence of a major rework to the SNES Mouse support, including support for both controller ports, the ability to replace inputs of SNES Mouse devices, and a different behaviour mode. It’s speculated that the mention of SNES Mouse behaviour configuration could mean thatNintendois looking into ways to support the SNES Mouse in different, possibly more accessible ways than using a USB Mouse....

Mairo Kart World will cost $80 / £75 for a physical copy, according to Nintendo. The digital version will be cheaper, coming in at £66.99. Nintendo has released its sales numbers for the six months up to May 29, 2025. The numbers for the first half of its financial year reveal thatNintendo SwitchLite,the handheld-only Switch launched on September 20, sold 1.95 million units in just 11 days. The flagship Switch also sold 4.98 million units during the six-month period, taking lifetime sales for the Switch platform as a whole to 41.67 million. Nvidia has apologised “upfront” for expected limited supplies of its premium RTX 3090 card, which launches today. Last week the firm’s flagship RTX 3080 video card sold out almost immediately after going on sale, and in a blog post onthe Nvidia sitethe firm suggested that it expects similar sell-outs for the higher-end model. “Since we built GeForce RTX 3090 for a unique group of users, like the TITAN RTX before it, we want to apologise upfront that this will be in limited supply on launch day,” it said....
