Big, who first appeared in Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast in 1999, has his own fishing mini-game in the blue hedgehog’s next outing. John Carmack has welcomed Microsoft’s acquisition of Id Software parent Zenimax and suggested it could see him once again work with the studio he co-founded. Carmack, who programmed Id’s classic games including Doom, Wolfenstein and Quake, has been involved in multiple legal battles with his former employer since he departed in 2013. Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal are currently expected to release five triple-A games by August 04, 2025. Lars Wingefors, the CEO ofCrystal Dynamicsand Eidos parent companyEmbracer, provided an update on the group’s pipeline of triple-A projects during a quarterly earnings presentation on Thursday. THQ Nordic has announced Darksiders Genesis, a top-down action-RPG set for release later this year on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and Google Stadia.
