The Uncharted film has reportedly recorded the fourth biggest opening weekend for a video game adaptation at the US box office. Having debuted internationally a week earlier,Unchartedhit US theatres on February 18 and generated $44 million in its first three days to top the weekly sales chart. Veteran WWE 2K developer Yuke’s has established a new development team tasked with creating a rival wrestling IP. The first man arrested in Japan for selling modded Switch consoles has been given a fine and a suspended sentence. In January, a man from Japan’s Ibaraki Prefecturewas arrestedon suspicion of violating the country’s Trademark Act. Now, as reported byNTV News(viaAutomaton), the Kochi District Court has found the man, 58-year-old Fumihiro Otobe, guilty. Otobe was given a two-year prison sentence, suspended for three years, as well as a fine of ¥500,000 ($3,500)....

Kojima Productions has teamed up with A24 to bring a live-action film adaptation of Death Stranding to the big screen. A24 is the film distribution and production company behind movies like EverythingEverywhereAll At Once, Talk to Me, Uncut Gems, Midsommar, Lady Bird and Moonlight. “The film promises to delve into the mysteries surrounding the apocalyptic event called the ‘Death Stranding,’ which blurred the lines between life and death, and brought forth nightmarish creatures into a world on the brink of collapse,” saidKojima Productions....
