Codemasters’ directors have agreed to vote in favour of Electronic Arts’ bid to acquire the British game developer and publisher. CEO Frank Sagnier, chief financial officer Rashid Varachia and executive director Ian Bell, who is also the CEO ofSlightly Mad Studios, hold a combined stake of 4.34% inCodemasters. Capcom veteran Hideaki Itsuno is leaving the company after more than 30 years. Footage of the Nintendo Switch version of EA Sports FC 24 has appeared online. Invites for the game’s closed beta were sent out on Wednesday on all platforms. The Switch footage, which is recorded via a camera pointing at aNintendo Switchin handheld mode, shows a match between Barcelona and Manchester City. A game critic has warned that CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 features several epileptic triggers which could cause seizures in vulnerable people. Game Informer’s Liana Ruppertsaid she suffered one major seizure and felt several moments where she was close to another one while playing 2077, due to several in-game visual effects. At release,Cyberpunk 2077does not appear to carry an epilepsy warning and it’s not clear how the offending scenes passed through platform holders’ certification processes....
