Activision has announced the basic details of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s in-game economy, which will centre on seasonal Battle Passes and won’t include loot boxes. Capcom has said it’s working on a fix for an issue which can cause flickering lights to appear in the PS5 version of its Resident Evil 4 remake. The company said the issue only appears to be occurring while certain settings are selected. In light of this, while it works on an update to address the problem, it advised players encountering the issue to set depth of field to off in the display tab, and to set motion blur in the camera tab to on....

Nintendo has released a Labo VR update for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker for Nintendo Switch. The update allows owners of the Labo VR Goggles to play four special VR levels, accessible from the game’s main menu. Nintendoalso announced Tuesday that it will be holding a free trial for Captain Toad between August 5 and 11 for Switch Online members, although this has only been confirmed for Japan at the time of publication....

Veteran video game designer Cliff Bleszinksi has said fans should “stay tuned” for news on LawBreakers. Bleszinski tweeted on Thursday that he’d received a text from his lawyer about the game. Developed by the now-defunct developer Boss Key Productions and directed by Bleszinski, LawBreakers was released in August 2017 to positive reviews. The game would shut down just one year later, however, citing a low player count as the main issue....

Crytek has released a next-gen console update for Crysis Remastered enabling the game to be played at up to 60fps on Xbox Series X/S and PS5, among other features. The update also adds a new level, Ascension, which was previously deemed too taxing to include in the console versions of the game, plus the classic Nanosuit menu and various bug fixes (see the fullXboxandPS5patch notes). EA has announced a turn-based spin-off game based on its EA Sports FC series (formerly known as FIFA). Bethesda has officially confirmed plans to release a new Fallout software collection for PC called Fallout Legacy. FIFA 23 was briefly playable on Xbox a month ahead of its official release.
