Activision has begun teasing a Call of Duty crossover with The Crow. Confirming an earlier leak, the video below suggests an Operator based on The Crow will be released forModern Warfare 3andWarzoneon August 22, as part of Call of Duty’s Season 5 Reloaded update. Lionsgate will also release The Crow in cinemas next week. A modern reimagining of the graphic novel by James O’Barr, it stars Bill Skarsgård as Eric Draven / The Crow, who’s resurrected to avenge the murder of himself and his fiancée....

Part of a Star Wars vehicle has seemingly been spotted hiding in the reveal trailer for Kingdom Hearts 4. During the portion ofthe Kingdom Hearts 4 reveal trailerthat cuts to a forest environment, what looks like the foot of an AT-ST walker can be seen in the background. This has led many to speculate that the environment in the game could be Endor from Return of the Jedi, which would introduce Star Wars to the Disney crossover franchise for the first time....

A new Hogwarts Legacy trailer has shown off the PlayStation-exclusive quest coming to the game. “The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop” will see players explore a mysterious store in the wizarding town owned by Madam Mason. A title card at the end of the trailer said that the exclusive content will include an additional dungeon, a shopkeeper’s cosmetic set and an exclusive in-game Hogsmeade shop. From the trailer it appears that the player character will investigate the shop following the previous owner, Madam Mason, putting it up for sale....

NBC is set to broadcast unique Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games coverage via Twitch. As reported bySports Business Journal, NBC is tailoring the content for the gaming-focused live stream platform in an attempt to court a younger audience that doesn’t watch television often. The channel islive nowand will start broadcasting a week before the Olympic Games start on July 23. Programming will include a highlights studio show, interviews with athletes, and “game-ified pre-Olympics activations” and Olympic-themed gaming competitions....

Microsoft has introduced two new ways for PC users to play Xbox games remotely. Following the latest updates to theXboxapp, Windows 10PCusers can stream Xbox Game Pass titles from the cloud and stream games from their home consoles. “With these new updates, you now can play some of your favorite console titles on a wide range of PCs, even those that don’t have the specs required for certain PC titles,”Microsoftsaid....

The Taiwanese ratings board may have revealed the identity of another upcoming PlayStation Plus Classics title. As spotted byGematsu, the country’s classification body has rated Timesplitters forPS4andPS5. The Taiwanese ratings board isa regular source of product leaks, including several games that ended up coming toPlayStationPlus. Originally released forPS2in 2000, sci-fi first-person shooter TimeSplitters was the debut title from Free Radical Design and the first in a trilogy of games....

Activision has officially dropped the online requirement for the PC version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 – but only on Steam Deck. Unlike console owners of the game,PCplayers have been required to have an internet connection since the title’s release on theEpic Games Storein September 2020. Activisionreleased Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2for Steam earlier this month, with the same requirement. However, the companysaidon Wednesday that it had released an update for the game that enablesSteamDeck users to play offline, as well as fixing the keyboard overlay for players onValve’s handheld....

Former Twisted Metal director David Jaffe has called a report that the car combat series is being revived without his input “hurtful” and told Sony: “[You] should have called.” On Wednesday VGC reported thata new Twisted Metal game has been greenlitatDestruction All-StarsdeveloperLucid Games, followingearlier reportsfrom multiple sources that Sony was planning to revive the vehicular action series. Two new Switch models are now in production, suggesting Nintendo could be set to introduce them soon, according to aWall Street Journal report. Citing people said to work onNintendo’s supply chain, the article claims one of thenew Switch modelswill be similar in appearance to the existing one but more powerful, while the other will be a cheaper version with a new look. A Nintendo spokesman declined to comment on potentialSwitchhardware revisions, but analysts told the WSJ they expect Nintendo to sell the cheaper Switch model for $200 (the current one retails for $300)....

Ubisoft has said that it’s exploring bringing back the Rayman series. The company toldKotakuthat a Rayman project is in its “early stages” at its Montpellier and Milan studios. It also confirmed that Rayman and Beyond Good and Evil creator Michel Ancel,who left the company in 2020, is consulting on it. “We are pleased to confirmUbisoft MontpellierandUbisoft Milanhave recently started an exploration phase on the Rayman brand,” said a spokesperson forUbisoft....
