Square Enix has published a new medium-term business plan, which includes making its AAA games multiplatform going forward. The plan, which the publisher has dubbed ‘Square EnixReboots and Awakens’, lays out a three-year strategy which it hopes will lead to “long-term growth”. One of the four pillars of this plan, which involves “strengthening customer contact points”, will see the publisher “shift to a multiplatform strategy”. The plan says Square Enix will “aggressively pursue a multiplatform strategy that includesNintendoplatforms,PlayStation,XboxandPCs”....

GSC Game World appears to have resumed development on Stalker 2, following Russia’s invasion of its home country Ukraine. In March, GSC Game World announced that the development of the shooter had beenput on hold due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.It was reported later in March that the development team was moving fromKyiv to Prague. Now, speaking on the game’s officialDiscordchannel (as spotted by Polish siteGRYOnline), one of the company’s developers responded to a fan asking if development had resumed by saying: “It continues”....

The issues that plagued Payday 3 have now been fixed, according to developer Starbreeze. The game continues to have “mostly negative” reviews onSteam, many of which were posted during the game’s launch period whereplayers had problems connecting to the servers. Starbreezehad blamed the issue on the game’s third-party matchmaking software, which it says “encountered an unforeseen error, which made it unable to handle the massive influx of players”. However, in a new update on Starbreeze’s official website, the studio says it has now carried out maintenance that “has fixed the initial matchmatching issues” that occurred during the game’s launch....

Steam Remote Play Together has exited beta and introduced iOS and Android support. Remote Play Together enables users to play local multiplayer games together online as if they were playing in the same room. The Callisto Protocol’s season pass will include extra death animations for the protagonist Jacob and the enemies he faces, it’s been confirmed. The details of the season pass were recently added to the game’sSteamPage, listing everything it offers. As well as typical content that would be expected with a season pass, such as new story DLC, new areas and a new mode, it also lists new death animations. The ‘Contagion Bundle’ included in the season pass adds a new mode as well as “thirteen new Jacob death animations”....

CD Projekt Red has released a Cyberpunk 2077 update which addresses a game-breaking bug in the main story quest. Introduced with the game’s 1.1 update on January 22,the bug occurredwhen players took a call from Takemura which lacked dialogue options and blocked interactions with other NPCs. CD Projekt RedsaidThursday’s hotfix also restores item randomisation to its pre-1.1 update state, and that a save/load loot exploit “will be investigated further”....
