The CEO of Electronic Arts says the company feels better about the upcoming release of its next Battlefield game, now that Grand Theft Auto 6 has been delayed. Andrew Wilsonconfirmed during the company’s financial results that thenext Battlefield will release by March 2026, with a full public reveal due to take place this summer. This came just days afterRockstarannounced that its planned 2025 release forGrand Theft Auto 6had now been delayed, with a new release date of May 19, 2025....

EA Sports has confirmed the release dates of both College Football 26 and Madden NFL 26. Aspreviously leaked earlier this week, Madden NFL 26 is set to release on August 14, with a Deluxe Edition offering up to three days early access starting on August 11. College Football 26, meanwhile, will release before it on July 10, with a Deluxe Edition also offering three days early access starting on July 7....

EA is reportedly considering walking away from the FIFA license due to the body’s demands for around $2.5 billion over the next decade. That’s according to a new report from theNew York Times, which cites people close to negotiations who claim that the footballing body is asking EA to more than double what it paid previously for the FIFA naming rights. The publication reports that “at least two years of talks” about renewing the contract that allows EA to use the organization’s name “hit the wall” after FIFA asked for $1 billion for each four-year World Cup cycle....

Everybody’s Golf studio Clap Hanz has registered two new trademarks for what could be a new golf game. As spotted onResetEra, two new trademarks registered to the Yokohama-based studio have been published in Japan. The first isEasy Come Easy Golf, while the second isいつでもGOLF, which translates to Anytime Golf. Given that they were both registered on the same day, it’s likely that these are the western and Japanese titles for the same game....

FIFA 22 will be added to the ‘Play List’ on EA Play next week, it’s been confirmed. The latest entry inEA‘s footballs series will be available on the Play List on June 23. This also means it will be available toXboxGame Pass Ultimate members, who get EA Play access as part of their subscription. The Play List is EA’s archive of legacy titles, which can be played by anyone with an EA Play subscription (Xbox,PlayStationorPC) or an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription....

Firewalk Studios has posted a farewell message following the announcement of the studio’s closure. Parent companySony Interactive Entertainment,which only acquired Firewalk last year, confirmed on Tuesday that it wasshutting the company after its debut title bombed. The title in question wasConcord, a live service shooter which Sony signed early in development for an initial $200 million, according toKotaku. Its sources claimed that amount wasn’t enough to cover the game’s full development, and also didn’t include the acquisition of the Concord IP rights or Washington-based Firewalk itself....

Splash Damage, the British developer behind Gears Tactics and the PC versions of Gears 5 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, has revealed that it’s working on a new sci-fi IP. The digital release date for Gex Trilogy has been confirmed, as well as details on the physical editions being sold by Limited Run. The retro compilation will be released digitally onPS5,Xbox Series X/S,SwitchandPCon June 16, with physical editions shipping later in 2025. Three physical editions of the trilogy will be released, ranging from a standard $39.99 edition to a $199.99 ‘Tail Time’ collector’s edition. Gran Turismo 7’s latest update has been released, adding new content to the game. Version 1.13 adds three new cars to the game (two Subarus and a Suzuki), as well as a new track – the Spa-Francorchamps 24h Layout. The latest patch for Helldivers 2 has now been released. The version 01.000.100 update, which is active now onPCand coming toPS5soon, activates a new ‘Plentary Hazards’ feature.
