Xbox and Amazon are teaming up to bring Game Pass Ultimate streaming to Amazon Fire TV devices. As announced on the officialXbox Wire blog,XboxGame Pass Ultimate members in over 25 countries will soon be able to download an Xbox app on Fire TV Stick 4K and Fire TV Stick 4K Max devices. Players with either of these devices and a Bluetooth-enabled wireless controller will be able to access the Xbox streaming library through an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership....

Microsoft has said that Xbox Series X/S are the company’s fastest selling consoles ever. Company CEOSatya Nadellamade the claim during the company’s fourth quarter earnings call on Tuesday. “TheXboxSeries S and X are our fastest selling consoles ever with more consoles sold life to date than any previous generation [during the same timeframe],” he said. Research firm Niko Partnersestimatesthat totalXbox Series X/Sshipments reached 6.5 million as of July 30, 2025....

Xbox Series X/S will soon be able to boot up quicker, once a new feature being tested rolls out. Xboxengineering lead Eden Marie confirmed over the weekend that the cold start-up time (i.e. the time it takes the console to boot up from a completely powered down status) was now quicker for Xbox Insider members. “Someone asked me about this, and I’ll admit I had no clue, but I checked, and yes, the boot animation and cold startup time in general on Xbox Series X|S consoles has been shortened in the latest Insider builds,”she tweeted....

Microsoft has launched a new Xbox system update designed to fix issues with EA’s free game trials. According to reports, the 10-hour timer was continuing to count down for some players even after they’d quit out of the game, meaning they weren’t getting to play for the full 10 hours. Xbox‘s official support Twitter account explained that the new system update should fix this bug. A new console update has been released which will stop game trial timers from counting down once a title is fully quit....

The Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 demo is available now. The demo, which gives players access to The Foundry level from Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and College from Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4, is available now to players who pre-ordered the game on any platform. Players can play as Tony Hawk, Rayssa Leal, and the Doomslayer as part of the demo, although Doomslayer is only available to players who’ve pre-ordered the digital deluxe version of the game....

A new video game based on cult anime Samurai Pizza Cats is in development. Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast From the Past is coming to “all major platforms” in 2026, with aSteam pagealready up. Set to be published by Red Dunes Games, the game is being developed by Dutch studio Blast Zero, best known for the anime inspired beat ’em up Jitsu Squad. The game is described as a “2D action RPG” and will see players able to switch between the members of the Pizza Cats as they explore the world of Little Tokyo....

A new beta system update for the PlayStation 5 is adding new social, accessibility and UX features to the console.
