Valve has started an open beta for its new Steam library, which it says has been revamped to make it “better looking, more relevant, and more powerful.” Steamusers can participate in the open beta free of charge over on thelibrary update page. The new library home gives users quick access to game updates, recently played games, friends activity and collections. Steam users can find out what games their friends have been playing on the library home page, and see what games they are currently playing from the games list....

Ubisoft’s upcoming Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition remaster will contain a “narrative link” to the long-in-development sequel. According to Thursday’s announcement, the upgraded version of the 2003 action-adventure game will includea new treasure huntin which players can discover more about protagonist Jade’s childhood through cosmetic rewards. “This exclusive new mission also reveals more about the narrative link to Beyond Good & Evil 2, showingUbisoft’s enduring commitment to the franchise,” Ubisoft said....

Electronic Arts is downsizing BioWare as the studio switches its full attention to Mass Effect 5. In a blog post,BioWaregeneral managerGary McKayconfirmed the studio is restructuring followingDragon Age: The Veilguard’s release in late 2024. Treyarch has detailed Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s new content season, Operation Dark Divide, which is available now on PS4 ahead of its rollout on Xbox One and PC soon.
