The Video Game History Foundation (VGHF) has now made its digital library system available to the public, aspromised last week. Available in early access form, the library is available to browse on theVGHF website(but is currently suffering timeout errors due to demand). The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt game director and Cyberpunk 2077 design director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz has resigned from CD Projekt Red following allegations of bullying, which he has denied. As reported byBloomberg,CD Projektconducted a months-long investigation into the allegations, which ultimately found Tomaszkiewicz not guilty. “Nonetheless, a lot of people are feeling fear, stress or discomfort when working with me,” Tomaszkiewicz reportedly wrote in an email to staff at the studio, in which he apologised “for all the bad blood I have caused....

Ubisoft has promised that more of its games will feature NFTs in the future, despite the overall negativity its Quartz platform has been getting so far. Billed byUbisoftas “the first platform for playable and energy-efficient NFTs in AAA games”, Quartz was originallyrevealed in December 2021and was quicklymet with overwhelming backlashby players. Despite this, a statement on the Ubisoft Quartz website tells players that the publisher will continue to add ‘Digits’ – its equivalent of NFTs – to future games....

Blizzard has confirmed a 2022 launch window for the next World of Warcraft expansion, Dragonflight. It has also revealed several editions of Dragonflight, which are listed below and are now available to pre-order. The creator of Mario + Rabbids says it was a “bit hurtful” for his team’s morale when Ubisoft said the sequel had underperformed. In a financial update back in January 2023,UbisoftcitedMario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hopeand Just Dance 2023 as two games which hadfailed to meet expectations, saying sales had been “markedly and surprisingly slower than expected”. “Despite excellent ratings and players’ reception as well as an ambitious marketing plan, we were surprised by Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope underperformance in the final weeks of 2022 and early January,” it said at the time....
