CD Projekt Red has confirmed which of the new features coming to Cyberpunk 2077 will be free for all players and which ones are tied to the game’s upcoming expansion. Set for release on September 26, the $30 / £25 Phantom Liberty expansion promises toentirely overhaul the way Cyberpunk 2077 is played, according to the studio. In an interview in June, creative director Pawel Sasko and quest designer Despoina Anetaki told VGC that “all the core main systems” of the game have been “redone or updated in a major way”....

CD Projekt has said that it has no plans to update Cyberpunk 2077 for PlayStation 5 Pro. Electronic Arts has officially announced that it is working on a Dead Space remake. The teaser trailer below rounded off the publisher’sEAPlay Live showcase on Thursday. It confirmed that the game is in development atStar Wars Squadronsstudio EAMotiveforPS5,Xbox Series X/SandPC. Certain Affinity was working on what could have been a ‘game-changing’ battle royale mode for Halo Infinite, according to the studio’s former design director Mike Clopper. The prolific support studio, which is based in Austin, Texas, has collaborated on instalments in theHaloand Call of Duty franchises since 2007, as well as shooters Left 4 Dead and Doom. Devolver Digital has shown trailers for nine upcoming games. A free trial period for the PC version of Diablo 4 has just started. As announced on the official Diablo Twitter account, players can take part in the the free trial now by visiting the game’sBattle.net shop page. The trial will last until October 30, at which point it will end and players will have to buy the game if they want to continue. Players will be able to play up to Level 20 in the trial, and presumably progress will continue should they wish to buy the game and keep playing after it ends....

A Doctor Who event is reportedly coming to Fortnite. Epic Games has detailed the improvements made in the Switch 2 version of Fortnite. The first in-the-flesh images showing PS5’s new controller colours have been published, via Japanese siteGame Watch. Until now, the controller has only been available in its standard black and white design, but the two new colours will be released this month, with the specific date differing depending on the country. In the US and the UK, the Midnight Black and Cosmic Red controllers will launch on June 18. “Midnight Black features two subtly different shades of black with light grey detailing to reflect how we view space through the night sky,”Sony said last month....
