The studio behind the PC version of God of War has said it’s working with Sony on a “flagship” live service game. Vancouver, Canada-based Jetpack Interactive is also stillworking on the God of War series, it’s claimed, perhaps suggesting that plans are in motion to bring upcomingPlayStationsequelGod of War RagnaröktoPCsooner rather than later. Godfall developer Counterplay Games has started work on a new IP, according to job listings on its website. As spotted by siteVeryAli Gaming, a number of new listings have been posted on the studio’s website, which give more information than previous listings added in December 2021. One of the new listings looking for aproducerstates that the role is for “an unannounced co-operative action fantasy shooter”. Another listing for a senior writer role says the successful candidate will “contribute to the overall narrative of a new IP”, suggesting the game isn’t a sequel toGodfall....

Google has updated its Stadia launch line-up with the addition of 10 titles, taking the total to 22 games. Polyphony Digital CEO Kazunori Yamauchi has said that Gran Turismo 7’s campaign requires an internet connection in order to combat cheating. The online requirement was first revealed in the small print of aPlayStationBlog post last week, which confirmed that campaign mode, the livery editor, Scapes photo mode, GT Café and GT Autowill require players to be connected to the PlayStation Network. In a new interview, Yamauchi toldEurogamer“the requirement for the online connection… is just to prevent cheating overall from people trying to modify the save data, so that’s the reason for the online connection”....
