US police have reportedly arrested at least 24 people since 2018 who have abducted or abused victims they met on Roblox. That’s according to data compiled byBloombergas part of an eight-month investigation into the popular online game platform, which has some 77 million daily users, over 40% of whom are under the age of 13. The report, which Bloomberg claims shines a light on the platform’s “predator problem”, reveals that in 2022,Robloxreported almost 3,000 incidents of child exploitation to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), a figure which jumped to over 13,000 last year....

Saber Interactive has confirmed that it will be delisting Evil Dead: The Game, after fans noticed it was starting to disappear from digital storefronts. Earlier this week users of the game’s Reddit pagenoticed that it had been removedfrom theEpic Games Storeand thePlayStationStore, leading to concern that a complete delisting was on the way, followed by a potential shutdown of its online servers. Now, in a brief statement Saber has confirmed that at least part of this is true, because it is indeed in the process of delisting the game – which is now also gone fromSteam, but still on theXboxStore at the time of writing – but still plans to keep the servers online for now....

Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka has teased that his next game project is “the one you’ve been hoping to hear about” in a new video interview. Yamaoka made the comments in an interview withYouTube channel AI Hub. The video in question has now been pulled from the channel, but not before the composer’s comments were transcribed by multiple publications includingPSUandSiliconera. It’s not clear why the video was pulled. Yamaoka reportedly told the YouTube channel that he expected the unannounced game project to be revealed sometime this Summer....

Footage showing off parkour gameplay from the upcoming Skate reboot has surfaced online. The footage, which has been circulating on social media, comes from the ongoing playtests thatEAhas been running for some time. These playtests, which have been opening up to more players recently, have consistently resulted in similar leaked footage. While previous Skate titles featured the ability to get off the board and run around the environment, this footage appears to suggest that the game will feature expanded movement options....

PlayStation 5 has now sold through to consumers more than 30 million units, Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced. The sales milestone was shared during a CES showcase on Wednesday, and means that PS5 has now shipped to retailers (which is the data it usually shares) at least 10.7 million units duringSony’s current fiscal year, which ends on June 29, 2025. Typically, shipped figures are higher than sold-through numbers. SIE’s shipped sales target for the year is 18 million units – a figureit stuck byin its most recent sales results published in November – and it now has just under three months to find the up to 7....

Sony showed off the latest prototype of its electronic vehicle collaboration with Honda by driving the car on stage using a PlayStation 5 controller. SonyHonda Mobility, a joint venture established in 2021, intends to launch its first electric vehicle model, ‘AFEELA’, by 2025, which it says will be built around a “premium entertainment experience”. Ultimately, Sony Honda Mobility hopes to release fully self-driving vehicles. Perhaps more striking during its latest CES presentation on Monday, however, was how it showed AFEELA could be driven using aPS5DualSense controller....

Sony Interactive Entertainment has shipped a record 6.3 million PlayStation 5 consoles during the first three months of the year, to reach 38.3 million consoles shipped life to date. This reportedly represents a record for any games console during a calendar Q1 window. It’s also doublePlayStation 4’s all-time peak for the same window, and more than triple whatPS5managed during the same, supply-constrained period last year. The most PS4sSonyhas ever shipped during the first three months of a calendar year is three million, which was achieved shortly after the console’s launch, between January and March of 2014 (the fourth quarter of FY2013)....

Ubisoft has released the latest patch for Star Wars Outlaws, containing support for various AI upscaling models. The version 1.0.5.1 patch has now been deployed on all platforms, with the most notable addition being support for DLSS 4. DLSS 4 is mainly aimed atNvidia‘s latest GeForce RTX 50 series of graphics cards, but some of its new features can also be used in RTX 40, 30 and 20 series cards....

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has discussed what he views as one of Rockstar’s major challenges when it comes to meeting expectations with Grand Theft Auto 6. According to the executive,Rockstarmust walk a very fine line by offering players something that feels both brand new and also reassuringly familiar. “In the entertainment business… we adopt our hits like they’re part of us, they’re part of our family, you know, we have a great affinity for them and we take it personally if people screw around with them, like it’s not okay if the creators make a choice that is inconsistent with how we think these hits should be developed,” he told theGood Time Showpodcast....

Techland has teased plans to release a number of unannounced Dying Light projects. The Polish studio spoke about its plans for the zombie series in a press release marking its tenth anniversary. It claimed that the franchise has reached 45 million players since the original game was released in January 2015.
