Nintendo’s war on piracy has escalated as the US Federal Bureau of Investigation seized a popular Nintendo Switch piracy site. The site, which hosted thousands of pirated versions ofNintendo Switchgames, was seized this week, in accordance with a seizure warrant issued by the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, according toKotaku. The site was already part of the EU’s piracy watchlist as of earlier this year....

The long-announced Five Nights at Freddy’s movie will finally be released in October, according to production company Blumhouse. The company’s CEO Jason Blum posted a message on Twitter today stating that the film would be released on October 27, to ensure a release in time for Halloween. “As promised – FNAF fans, you asked and we delivered,” Blum tweeted. “Five Nights at Freddy’s movie is coming this Halloween on Jul 09, 2025!...

Bandai Namco has announced a release date for Sand Land, the action RPG based on the manga series of the same name from Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama. Pre-orders for several editions of the game are now live ahead of itsPS5,PS4,Xbox Series X/SandPCrelease on July 14, 2025. The game is in development at Japanese studioILCA, which was also behindPokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearland last year’s One Piece Odyssey, whichBandai Namcopublished too....

The latest Apex Legends update aims to further reduce the crashes that have been spoiling the game for many players in recent weeks. DeveloperRespawnhas been battling significant server issues since the release of the game’s 10.1 patch earlier this month, including players being unable to load into a lobby after updating the title. “Despite improvements” on September 17, the studio said it was “still seeing roughly three times the normal rate of disconnect errors” in the game....

Bam Margera is back. Development of the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake has reportedly been paused with the future of the game said to be up in the air. There are now 900 different species of Pokémon, following the reveal of two new species this week. Not counting Mega Evolutions, alternate forms of species (such as the 26 different forms of Unown), ShinyPokémonor differences in appearance between male and female species, the total of unique species now stands at 900. Luxury jeweller Tiffany & Co is making a range of Pokémon jewellery, with prices going up to $29,000. The new line is a collaboration with contemporary artist Daniel Arsham, who’s worked with Tiffany & Co in the past. It will consist of nine separate pieces, each of which contains a pendant shaped like aPokémon. Six Pokémon are featured in the range. TimeSplitters and GoldenEye composer Graeme Norgate has left Dambuster Studios after 20 years of employment across multiple iterations of the studio. Nottingham-based Dambuster’s routes trace back to Free Radical Design, which was acquired byCrytekin 2009, and then transferred its staff toDeep Silver‘s newly formed Dambuster Studios in 2014. Norgate started his games career in the early 90s atRare. He is best known for his soundtracks for the likes of Blast Corps and GoldenEye 007, which he co-composed withGrant Kirkhope....
