Pokémon card illustrator says he feels in danger from autograph hunter ambushes

Popular Pokémon trading card illustrator Naoki Saito says he feels like he’s in danger because of frequent ambushes by autograph hunters. Saito has illustrated over 280Pokémoncards and some of them have rocketed in value over the years. A special version of his ‘Full Art Lillie’ card which was only given away during an Extra Battle Day event in Japan is valued at over $100,000. Because of this, Saito’s autograph has become sought after by collectors – and therefore by resellers – and it’s the latter who Saito claims are giving him a hard time....
