Certain launch model Xbox One consoles are failing to download firmware updates, a new report finds. According toDigital Foundry on Eurogamer, the 2013 launch models of the console – the larger, VCR-like console seen in the image above, as opposed to theXbox OneS revision in 2016 – can’t download the latest firmware update if they haven’t been updated in a while. Sony appears to have revealed plans to bring Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time to PlayStation, as well as the game’s release date. Following several delays, the latest entry in Level 5’s Fantasy Life RPG series will officially be released forNintendo Switchin April 2025. It’s barely been a year since we had Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and now after playing Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, I hope it’s a few more years before we get Yakuza 9. That’s not to say that Like A Dragon: PirateYakuzain Hawaii is a bad game, or that I had a bad time with it. Nintendo will release a limited edition Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Switch Lite console on November 8. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is getting an original online multiplayer mode, Fox Hunt. Revealed during aKonamidigital showcase on Thursday, Fox Hunt is directed by Yu Sahara, a veteran series designer who has worked on MGS4, Peace Walker, Ground Zeroes, and The Phantom Pain. Fox Hunt is described as a “completely original” online multiplayer mode, unrelated to Metal Gear Online, which was released alongside thePS2Subsistence version of the original game....

Naughty Dog boss Neil Druckmann is stepping away from his creative involvement in HBO’s The Last of Us show, so he can fully focus on Naughty Dog’s upcoming projects. Druckmann has been closely involved in the production of the successful HBO series, which stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsay. “I’ve made the difficult decision to step away from my creative involvement in The Last of Us on HBO,” Druckmann said in astatement....

Capcom premiered new Monster Hunter Wilds gameplay during the Gamescom Opening Night Live showcase on Tuesday. Nightdive’s studio head says he’s optimistic that one day the studio could remaster classic shooter The Operative: No One Lives Forever, despite the recent closure of its developer Monolith Productions. No One Lives Forever is a first-person shooter originally released onPCin 2000 andPS2in 2002. Amazon has begun sending out invites to pre-order the Nintendo Switch 2. Earlier this week,Amazonoffered customers the chance to request an invite to pre-order the newNintendosystem, and now VGC can confirm that invites have begun being sent out to customers in the UK.
