Ubisoft Singapore’s long-running development problems with Skull & Bones show no signs of abating anytime soon. According toKotaku, the oft-delayed pirate game has lost its third creative director, Elisabeth Pellen,who had been responsible for rebooting a projectthat was originally meant to be released in 2018. Skull & Boneshad a closed beta test last monthand is officially scheduled to launch during the publisher’s current fiscal year ending in March 2024. Super Smash Bros and Kirby creator Masahiro Sakurai has been given an award by the Japanese government. The government’s Agency for Cultural Affairs has listed Sakurai as one of the recipients of its annual Art Encouragement Prize for New Artists. According to the Agency, the award is “presented to persons whose outstanding achievements have opened up new vistas in a given year”. Unity executives have reportedly told staff how the company intends to backtrack on some elements of its controversial install fee policy.
