A clear attempt at a meaningful series reboot, this new Grid starts strong, but by the middle of the vast career mode it feels like it’s running on fumes. Rocket League is getting Star Wars content for the first time this week. The free-to-play racing game has enjoyed a large number of crossovers in the eight years since its initial release, but none of these have featured Star Wars until now. Four separate ‘Droid Packs’ will arrive on May 4 (also known as Star Wars Day), each containing a decal for an existingRocket Leaguecar and other accessories. Sam & Max Save The World Remastered has been announced for PC and Switch. Releasing on December 2, it’s a remaster of the first season of Sam & Max episodic titles, which Telltale Games originally released in 2006 and 2007. The remaster has been put together by Skunkape Games, which was established by former Telltale co-founder and CEO Dan Connors. Following Telltale’s closure in 2018, Connors and three other ex-employees acquired the rights to the studio’s Sam & Max games, and the remaster has been developed with help from several other former Telltale developers....

Sega has sued a mobile game developer, claiming its games infringe on five patents. The company has filed a lawsuit against Bank of Innovation, the Japanese studio best known for its game Memento Mori. According toOtaku Research Institute(viaGamesIndustry.biz),Segais seeking ¥1 billion ($6.6 million) in damages, as well as an injuction to prevent Memento Mori from continuing to operate as it currently does. The lawsuit alleges that Bank of Innovation infringed on five patents held by Sega, with the infringements taking place in Memento Mori and the now-defunct mobile game Phantom Beast Contract Cryptract....

Sega has announced plans to hold a Sonic the Hedgehog live stream this Tuesday. The latest Sonic Central showcase will kick off at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm BST / 6pm CEST on September 24 and be streamed on YouTube and Twitch. The Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie has now grossed over $400 million globally in under three months. The live-action sequel, which was co-produced bySegaand Paramount Pictures, debuted in selected markets on March 30. The film is currently the fifth-highest grossing video game adaptation of all time, and as it’s still showing in cinemas it looks set to overtakeSony’s Uncharted movie, which was released in January.
