Octopath Traveler 2 will reportedly be made available through Game Pass this month.
That’s according toeXputer, which claims the originalOctopath Travelercould also be added toMicrosoft’s subscription service.
Coinciding with Microsoft’sTokyo Game Showbroadcast last September,Square Enixannounced plans tobring its RPG sequel to Xbox consoles and Windows PCin “early 2024”, but this has yet to happen.

Square Enix has released Octopath Traveler forPS4andPS5, and Octopath Traveler 2 forXboxconsoles and WindowsPC. Both titles are alsoavailable for Game Pass on Xbox and PC.
A release date and potential Game Pass announcement could be confirmed when theXbox Games Showcase– the first to include games acrossActivision Blizzard,Bethesda, and Xbox Game Studios – takes place on June 9.
Octopath Traveler was released in 2018 and has sold over three million copies acrossNintendo Switch, PC,Xbox OneandStadia, according to Square Enix.
It released Octopath Traveler 2 in February 2023 for Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC viaSteam.
According to Square Enix, “Octopath Traveler 2 improves upon the series’ iconic HD-2D visuals: a striking blend of retro 2D characters in a beautiful 3D world.
“The game’s new storyline, characters and features make it the perfect entry for newcomers to the series, while also preserving the charm of the original game for veteran players.
