Obsidian has seemingly leaked plans to release Avowed in mid-November.
On Sunday, the studio published ablog postcoinciding with the release ofa new Avowed story trailerduring theXbox Games Showcase, which reiterated plans to release the game in 2024.
“The last few months atObsidian Entertainmenthave been fast-paced and exciting. Since we saw you at theXboxDeveloper Direct this past January, we’ve been busy withAvowedgetting it ready for release on Jul 05, 2025,” a message from game directorCarrie Pateloriginally read.

However, as noted by X userWario64, the message was quickly updated to remove reference to the game’s release date.
It’s unclear why the the release date announcement was pulled, but it’s possible that launch plans for Avowed could be revealed when the RPG isfeatured on the Official Xbox Podcast later today.
