Martha is Dead developer LKA stated last week that the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game would be censored, and VGC can now reveal exactly which scenes were changed.
The edited scenes can be seen in full in our video below, which was captured on the uncutXbox Series Xversion of the game.

We should note, however, that this videocontains extremely graphic scenes of mutilation.
The nature of the video also means that it spoils certain scenes in the game, so anyone planning to buy the game may wish to wait until they’ve played through it.

The PS4 and PS5 versions have mainly been censored in three scenes. Two of these are interactive onXboxandPCand have had the interactivity removed, whereas the third involves dialogue which has been completely cut from the game.

The game will also add a prompt at the start of the game, asking players if they want a more censored version. This can also be toggled on or off in the in-game menu.

In a statement posted last week,LKAsaid: “Martha is Dead is a narrative adventure recommended for adult audiences only, with play consisting of potentially discomforting scenes and themes that may distress some players.”
The statement continues: “It is with regret that we have had to modify the experience on the PS5 and PS4 versions with some elements no longer playable.”
