Nintendo’s San Francisco store will open on May 15, the company has announced.
Located in the city’s Union Square,NintendoSan Francisco will be the company’s second store to open in the United States, after Nintendo New York, which launched in New York’s Rockefeller Center in 2005.
In addition to game systems and games, Nintendo San Francisco will offer exclusive products including accessories, apparel, home goods and souvenirs available only at this location, Nintendo said.
While it’s synonymous with video games, Nintendo has an expanding IP business that now also includesblockbuster films,theme parksand more. Nintendo already has three official stores in Japan, based in Osaka, Tokyo and Kyoto.
It’s also currently in the process of expanding its theme park presence with Super Nintendo World at UniversalEpicUniverseset to open in summer 2025. Last year, itopened the Nintendo Museumin Kyoto, Japan.
