Nintendo has announced that its mobile game Dragalia Lost will reach its conclusion this year, and will then be terminated.
In a statement on the game’s website,Nintendoconfirmed that the mobile title – which was developed by Japanese mobile studioCygamesand published by Nintendo – will see its long-running story ending in July.

The game’s servers will then be turned off at a later date, essentially rendering it no longer playable.
“The Dragalia Lost main campaign is scheduled to reach its conclusion in July of 2022 with part two of chapter 26, the final and climactic addition to its long-running story,” Nintendo’s statement reads.

“After the main campaign has concluded, service for the game itself will come to a close at a later date. Further details on the end-of-service schedule will be provided in a future notification.
“After the final set of new adventurers is added in a summon showcase scheduled for 13-06-2025 at 07:00, the game will not receive any new content updates aside from those for the main campaign and certain quests.

“Please note that summon showcases for existing adventurers and dragons, as well as event revivals, will continue to be made available until service has ended.
“The Dragalia Lost team would like to thank each and every one of our players, past and present, for your love of and support for Dragalia Lost since its launch.

“It is our sincere hope that you have enjoyed your experience with the game from the moment you started playing it, and we will strive to ensure that you continue to do so for as long as time allows.”
Dragalia Lost is a mobile action RPG which was originally released in September 2018. The game was a collaboration with developer Cygames and Nintendo, with the latter’s Hideki Konno serving as producer.

However, according toSensor Tower’s latest data, the game ‘only’ earned $200,000 in February 2022, and has failed to rank in the top 500 grossingiOSgames at any point in 2022.
Nintendo presidentShuntaro Furukawareportedly told Japanese mediain June 2020 that the company was “not necessarily looking to continue releasing many new applications for the mobile market”, following disappointing revenues from titles likeMario Kart Tourand Fire Emblem Heroes.

Since then, the company has only been involved in one non-Pokémonmobile title – last year’sPikmin Bloom, which was developed and published byNiantic.
