Nintendo has confirmed that it has no plans to attend E3 2023.
In a new statement, the platform holder confirmed that it will not be part of the resurrected event which is scheduled to take place in June.
“We approach our involvement in any event on a case-by-case basis and are always considering various ways to engage with our fans,”Nintendosaid in a statement.
“Since this year’s E3 show didn’t fit into our plans, we have made the decision to not participate. However, we have been and continue to be a strong supporter of theESAand E3.”
This statement confirms reports from earlier this month that the Japanese firm would joinPlayStation in not formally attending the E3 show.
So far,Ubisofthas been the largest publisher to confirm its appearance at the show.
Microsoftwill have some form of presence in Los Angeles this year withan already-announced summer showcase. However, according toIGN,theXboxfirm will not have a show floor presence at the Los Angeles Convention Center itself.
Details of E3’s revamped 2023 format, which will see separate business and consumer events split between four days in June, were revealed late last year.
And just last month, new E3 organiser ReedPop told VGC that it had received “a tremendous amount of interest” from many of “the biggest companies in the industry” and that it was confident the line-up would be worth the trip.
