A new video has shown the internal hardware changes Nintendo has made to its revised Switch model, which is available in some regions this month.

The newNintendo Switchfeatures significantly improved battery life and a different version ofNvidia’s Tegra chip.

The revised hardware also features the same 16Wh battery as the launch model, which means that its increased battery life is being achieved mostly by usinga more efficient processor.

According to YouTube creatorSpawn Wave,Nintendohas also adjusted the placement of an internal component in the left Joy-Con, although it’s not clear if this will in any way benefit reportedproblems with Joy-Con drift.

The new Switch modelwill launch in “mid-August” in North America and Japan (and early September in the UK), but Hong Kong and Australian stores have already started selling the console.
