Riot Games has revealed new League of Legends: Wild Rift gameplay in aSummer Game Festvideo which you can rewatch below.

The studio says Wild Rift offers competitive 5v5 gameplay akin to thePCversion ofLeague of Legendsbut rebuilt for new platforms.

It features 15-18 minute matches, a twin-stick control scheme and a brand new map.

A Wild Riftalpha testwill be available to a limited group ofAndroidmobile players in Brazil and the Philippines from June 6-27.

Riot plans to have the mobile version of the game “fully live everywhere in the world by the end of 2020, with console coming sometime after”.

Last September Riot said League of Legends attracted approximately eight million peak concurrent players daily.

The following month itannounced Wild Rift alongside several other titlesset in the League of Legends universe.

In May 2019,Reuterssources said Riot had been working on a mobile version of League of Legends with parent companyTencentfor over a year.

It wasclaimed the two companies had been at loggerheads for yearsabout how to best adapt the massively popular PC battle arena game for a wider audience, with Riot previously rejecting a proposal to create a mobile version of the title, which would be expected to be especially popular in Asia.

That led Tencent to instead launch League of Legends-like mobile titleHonour of Kings, which became the world’s highest grossing MOBA game, anda less successful western adaptation of the title called Arena of Valor.
