Sega appears to be teasing an announcement for The Game Awards next week.
On Saturday, Twitch streamer Curiousjoi shared a letter she’d been sent by the games publisher, which included the message: ‘New Era New Energy – ensure to tune in toThe Game AwardsDecember 7th’.

The Game Awards will be streamed live from the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles on Thursday, December 7.
There are 31 awards up for grabs in total at this year’s Game Awards, with the winners set to be determined by a blended vote between the voting jury comprised of global media publications (90%) – which includes VGC – and public fan voting (10%).

Segarecently said thatdevelopment of its first “Super Game” was progressing steadily.

Announced in May 2021, the Japanese publisher’sSuper Game projectwill span multiple “triple-A titles that cross over Sega’s comprehensive range of technologies” and “go beyond the traditional framework of games”, according to the company’s co-chief operating officer, Shuji Utsumi.
The company announced in October that it wascancelling Creative Assembly‘s Hyenasand “some unannounced titles” in development.

Live service multiplayer shooter Hyenas, which had been scheduled for release this year, was reportedlySega’s biggest budget game everbefore the company pulled the plug.
