Several classic Call of Duty titles have been added to Microsoft’s PC store, sparking hopes of an imminent Game Pass addition.
Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare, and Call of Duty: United Offensive were all added toMicrosoft‘sPCstore for purchase, having previously been unavailable on the platform.
Games industry news reporter Knoebel posted on X that the games may have been added ahead of their inclusion on Game Pass.
This has been the case for previous legacy PC titles that were released long before the current iteration of Microsoft’s PC store.

Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare are currently playable onXboxSeries consoles via backward compatibility. Call of Duty: United Offensive was never released on console.
The latest entry inActivision’s shooter series was released on October 25 forXbox Series X/S,Xbox One,PS5,PS4and PC. Notably, it was also thefirst Call of Duty to be available on Game Pass on day one.
Microsoft CEOSatya Nadellacommented on the game’s early performanceduring the company’s first quarter earnings call earlier this year.
“And unit sales onPlayStationandSteamwere also up over 60% year-over-year. This speaks to our strategy of meeting gamers where they are by enabling them to play more games across the screens they spend their time on.”
