Microsoft is reportedly planning to bring even more of its key franchises to PlayStation 5 this year.
On Friday, it was claimed by a noted insider thatMicrosoft Flight Simulator 2024 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection are both being plannedfor release onSony’s console, as part ofMicrosoft’s new strategy of releasing more games on rival platforms.

Now, a new report fromWindows Centralcorroborates those claims with its own sources, and reports that further franchises are also being planned for PS5 byXboxin 2025.
According to the publication,Ninja Theory’sHellblade 2, strategy title Age of Mythology, and “potentially”Gears of War1 Ultimate Edition are all slated for release onPlayStation 5this year.

Microsoft’s gaming CEO recently reiterated thatXbox won’t rule out any first-party Xbox game potentially coming to rival platformssuch asPlayStationandNintendoin the future, following afirst wave of portsthat includedSea of Thieves,Hi-Fi Rush,Grounded, and more.
Speaking toBloombergin November,Phil Spencerreportedly said he was pleased with the results of the first wave of multiplatform releases, and that Microsoft would bring more titles to other platforms.

“I do not see sort of red lines in our portfolio that say ‘thou must not,’ ” he said, adding that it was too early to make a decision on the next version ofHalo.
While figures for the multiplatform Xbox games haven’t been released, there are signs of success.Rare’s Sea of Thieves was PS5’s most downloaded game in May, in both the US and Europe.

Microsoft has announced Doom: The Dark Agesis also planned for release on PS5, as well as a port ofits Indiana Jones game.The Outer Worlds2 is also planned for PS5.
