Following Ubisoft’s announcement that it will reveal Assassin’s Creed Mirage next week, further details have seemingly leaked.
According toserial Assassin’sCreed leakerj0nathan,the game will feature one city, Baghdad, which will include four individual districts, each with its own boss.
The title, which is reportedly taking a “back to basics” approach for the series, will feature the return of throwing knives, hiding places on rooftops, and a dense amount of NPCs, it’s claimed.
Mirage will reportedly attempt to recreate the crowd density of 2014’s Assassin’s Creed Unity, which took place during the French revolution and featured a massive number of NPCs on screen at once.
However, this infamously caused severe performance issues, promptingUbisoftto issue an apology and offer compensation in the form of a free story expansion, Dead Kings.
Following a series of leaks, Ubisoft confirmed on Thursday thatAssassin’s Creed Mirage is the next game in the series.
It plans to“unveil the future of Assassin’s Creed”on September 10, when it’s set tohold a multi-game showcase.

Bloomberg first reported in February that Ubisoft was planning to release a smaller-scale,stealth-focused Assassin’s Creed gamethat is closer to the early series entries than the more recent RPG-influenced ones.
StarringAssassin’s Creed Valhallacharacter Basim, the title was originally planned as an expansion for the most recent series entry before being spun into a standalone game last year, it claimed.
Assassin’s Creed Mirageis reportedlyset in the Middle East, including Baghdad, with development being led by Ubisoft’s Bordeaux studio.
