Capcom has released a fresh batch of Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin details ahead of the Switch game’s arrival on July 9.
Billed as “a rich RPG story”, Monster Hunter Stories 2 is the follow-up to 2016’sNintendo 3DStitle which was also turned into a TV animation series.

Players assume the role of a Monster Rider who befriends iconic creatures from the Monster Hunter series as they embark on adventures together.
On FridayCapcomaired a lengthyvideo presentationin which series producerRyozo Tsujimotoand directorKenji Ogurodetailed Wings of Ruin’s post-release content roadmap.

Capcom also released a co-op gameplay video and the title’s launch trailer, both of which are viewable on this page.
As previously announced, the game’s first post-launch update will introduce the Palamute fromMonster Hunter Rise.

Capcom confirmed today that four more free updates are set to arrive by October 2021. These will add new co-op quests and Monsties, which are monsters that players can form bonds with.
A free trial version ofMonster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruinis currently available on theSwitcheShop, and players can transfer save data to the full game should they choose to purchase it.
