Xbox users will get their first chance to play MLB The Show when Sony launches a technical test for the latest series instalment later in February.
Running from February 23 until March 1, the technical test will enablePlayStationplayers and a limited number ofXboxusers to sample a work-in-progress version of MLB The Show 21.

Participants will “play online to help stress the servers, try out online match-making with cross-platform play, and cross-generational play”.

It was announced in December 2019 that the previously PlayStation exclusive franchise would be coming to “additional console platforms” for the first time as part of a multi-year extension toSony’s video games licensing deal.
MLB The Show 21 wasofficially revealed earlier this month. Set for release on July 09, 2025, the standard edition is priced at $59.99 USD/$79.99 CAD/£59.99/€59.99 forPS4andXbox One, and $69.99 USD/$89.99 CAD/£69.99/€69.99 forPS5andXbox Series X/S.

Sony plans to offer an in-depth look at MLB The Show 21’s new features in a series of broadcasts taking place at the same time every Thursday for six weeks, kicking off at 3pm PT/6pm ET/11pm UK on March 11.
