Marvel’s Midnight Suns has been rated in South Korea, suggesting that it could be released soon.
As spotted by aReddituser, the game has received a “decision grade” of 15 years old, which is the equivalent of PEGI’s 16 rating.
That the game has now received a rating could suggest it’s close to getting a release date, despite neither2Knor Firaxis giving the upcoming tactical RPG a firm date beyond the “second half of 2022”.
Marvel’s Midnight Sunswas originally scheduled for release in March 2022 before it wasdelayed until the second half of 2022late last year.
The game is being developed byFiraxis Games, the studio best known for the XCOM games. However, the game also features a relationship-building system similar to some other turn-based strategy games, most notably the Fire Emblem series.
Although Midnight Suns will feature a host of Marvel superheroes, the player will mainly control a new character called the Hunter, who is the “forsaken child” of Lilith, the “mother of demons”.
After Lilith is revived by Hydra, theAvengersrevive the Hunter, because they’re the only one known to have defeated Lilith before.
Following the reveal, Firaxis’s creative directorJake Solomonsaid: “I grew up reading and loving Marvel comics. To be entrusted with these characters and their stories is an honour for me and the team.
“If you’re a Marvel fan, or an RPG fan, or a fan of tactics games, Marvel’s Midnight Suns will make these beloved characters come alive in a way you’ve never seen before.”
Midnight Suns is currently planned for release onPlayStation 5,PlayStation 4,Xbox Series X|S,Xbox One,Nintendo Switch, and WindowsPCviaSteamand theEpic Games Store.
