Square Enix has announced a free weekend trial for Marvel’s Avengers.
The whole ofCrystal Dynamics’ game will be free to play onPS4,PS5,PCandStadiafrom July 29 to August 1.
The promotion will coincide with the launch of the game’s multiple-hero feature, which improves matchmaking by enabling users to play as the same hero when forming teams online.
Square Enixsaid a similar free trial promotion will be available onXboxconsoles “in the coming months”.
Players who choose to purchase theMarvel’s Avengersfollowing the free trial will carry over any progress and purchases made as long as they are playing on the same platform.
“There’s never been a better time to assemble in Marvel’s Avengers,” saidScot Amos, co-head of studio at Crystal Dynamics. “We’re nearing our one-year anniversary, and players who jump in will get eight heroes, tons of single- and multi-player content, ongoing events, and more.
“In addition, we have the War for Wakanda expansion coming in August, so now is a great opportunity to get started so you’re ready to play as Black Panther and take on Klaw with the rest of the Avengers.”
