A Blizzard advert has pointed towards a possible reveal for Diablo 4.
The advert for The Art of Diablo book has appeared inGerman magazine Game Star, claiming that the upcoming book contains “more than 500 artworks from Diablo 1, Diablo 2, Diablo 3 andDiablo 4.”
According to anAmazon listing, the book is partially written by seniorBlizzardwriter Robert Brooks.
Blizzard’s annual showcase, BlizzCon, is set to take place at the Anaheim Convention Center in California on November 1 and 2.
A recentKotakureport claimed Blizzard isplanning to announce a new Diablo game at the event, after delaying earlier plans to unveil it at 2018’s showcase.
According to the publication’s sources, Diablo 4 has been in development since 2016 and features a “gross” and “dark” art style in deliberate contrast to the more colourful look of Diablo 3, which divided fan opinion.
At 2018’s BlizzCon Blizzard announced mobile-only instalment Diablo Immortal, which received a negative reaction from fans hoping for news of a newPCinstalment.
The strong response from fans caused the company to publisha blog postclarifying that it had “multiple teams working on different Diablo projects and we can’t wait to tell you all about them.”
