Critically acclaimed puzzle platformer Limbo is now free to download from the Epic Games store.

Originally released onXboxLive Arcade in July 2010 before making its way to numerous platforms, it sees players guiding a small boy through a dark and deadly 2D world, navigating a series of physics-based obstacles and traps on a search for his sister.

Playdead’s title is the latest addition toEpic’s weekly free game offer,which was recently extended to the end of 2019.

It will be available as a free download until July 25, when it will be replaced by two titles, 11 bit studios’ wartime survival game This War of Mine and Digital Sun’s action RPG Moonlighter, both of which will be free until August 2.

According to Epic, there had been more than 25 million free game installs as of May 2019. It also said in March that it’s planning to bringUbisoftback catalogue titles to its free game programme.

Enhanceannounced on Tuesday thatTetris Effect will hit PC on July 23 via the Epic Games store.
