Neowiz has released a gameplay reveal trailer for Lies of P and confirmed plans to release the game in 2023.
Putting a dark twist on the classic tale of Pinocchio,Lies of Pchallenges players to find a way to save the city of Krat from being ravaged by puppets.
It will be released forPC,PS5andXbox Series X/S, and will also be available forXboxGame Pass at launch.
“Inspired by the familiar story of Pinocchio, Lies of P is an action souls-like game set in a dark Belle Époque world,” says developer and publisher Neowiz. “Guide Pinocchio on his unrelenting journey to become human.”
The new trailer above shows off Pinocchio exploring the game world before eventually meeting a character that is assumed to be his creator Geppetto. A Jiminy Cricket-like character was also referenced.
The game is one of a number of titles from Xbox’s third-party partners that are playable at the platform holder’sGamescombooth this week.
Earlier on Tuesday,Aaron Greenberg,Microsoft’s GM of Xbox games marketing, tweeted an image showing the Lies of P demo station, which firstconfirmed that the title was coming to Xbox Game Pass.
