Electronic Arts has released a new trailer for Hazelight’s It Takes Two, the new co-op adventure from Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and A Way Out director Josef Fares.
Set for release on Jun 18, 2025 forPS4,PS5,Xbox One,Xbox Series X/SandPC(Origin,Steam), the game tells the story of Cody and May, a husband and wife who are seemingly headed for divorce.
When their daughter Rose creates dolls of her parents which magically come alive, Cody and May must work together to overcome a series of challenges in a fantastical world that only exists as a result of their fractured relationship.
In a recently published hands-on preview based on a small two-stage section of the game, VGC saidIt Takes Two “may be 2021’s biggest surprise”and “has the potential to be a co-op masterpiece”.
“So far, we’re thoroughly impressed with what we’ve played ofIt Takes Two,” our write-up concluded. “If it can continue to show this level of creativity for its entire duration we could be looking at one of the finest co-op adventures ever created. If it can do this while throwing in a few surprises during what at the moment looks set to be a predictable story arc, then all the better.”
