Veteran film, television and video game actor Tony Todd has passed away at the age of 69.

Todd’s most recent video game performance was inSpider-Man2, where he was the voice of Venom.

Spider-Man 2 developerInsomniac Gameshas posted a message on its official X account, paying tribute to Todd.

“Insomniac Games is heartbroken by the passing of our friend Tony Todd,” the statement reads.

“He brought so much joy to our studio during the production ofMarvel’s Spider-Man 2and to many fans around the world with his inimitable voice and presence. We are Venom… forever.”

Todd will posthumously appear inIndiana Jones and the Great Circle, which is set for release on December 9.

Although Todd is best known for his movie career – most notably as the iconic horror villain Candyman, and funeral home owner William Bludworth in the Final Destination movies – he also performed in a number of video games over the years.

He played Vortigaunts in Half-Life 2: Episode Two and reprised the role in 2020 VR gameHalf-Life: Alyx.

He also played Admiral Tommy Briggs in the 2012 release of Call of Duty: Black Ops II, as well as Doctor Rogers inBack 4 Blood.

Todd’s filmography also included performances in such major movies as Platoon, the 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead and The Crow.
